Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr., known professionally as Mika, is a British singer-songwriter of Lebanese origin. He broke through with the 2007 debut Life In Cartoon Motion and is known for high-range falsetto vocals and colourful pop productions.

Born in Beirut and raised partly in the UK; debut album Life In Cartoon Motion released 2007; frequently compared in reviews to Freddie Mercury for his vocal range; collaborated with Imogen Heap on "By the Time" (listed in reviews).

DeBaser reviews praise Mika's colourful, falsetto-driven pop, especially the single "Grace Kelly" and the debut album Life In Cartoon Motion. Critics note 80s disco/glam influences and catchy dance tracks, with some inconsistency across albums. The Boy Who Knew Too Much continues the playful, confectionery pop with more mature lyrics and notable collaborations.
