Michel Petrucciani (1962–1999) was a French jazz pianist celebrated for his lyrical touch, technical command and warm musicality. He recorded solo and in trios, appeared on Blue Note and collaborated with many leading jazz artists.

Born in 1962 in France; lived 1962–1999. Suffered from osteogenesis imperfecta. Renowned for solo piano work and trio recordings; collaborated with musicians such as Gary Peacock, Roy Haynes, Steve Gadd, Anthony Jackson, Jim Hall and Wayne Shorter. Died in January 1999.
