Here we are in the year 1981: the Michael Schenker Group releases their second album: MSG, perhaps even more beautiful than the first!

Oh, guys, what a wonderful album: it kicks off with the anthem Ready to rock, a glorious hymn, which rightfully places Gary Barden in the pantheon of the greatest rock singers of all time. What a voice! And then there's Michael Schenker himself: outstanding guitar work in Attack of the mad axeman, one of the band's best tracks, with a overwhelming and sharp riff and a scream-worthy finale.
The trusty Chris Glen, formerly of the Alex Harvey Band, does a great job on bass. In On and on, the little keyboard piece is wonderful, played by Paul Raymond, an old friend and former bandmate from UFO. And how can we not mention the masterpiece Let sleeping dogs lie? This is an incredible track: spectacular guitar riff, drumming that doesn't let up for a minute (after all, it's the magnificent Cozy Powell on drums!!!), Barden's voice is magnificent.

But I want more especially has a very interesting chorus and the ballad Never trust a stranger is beautiful. Looking for love... ah... fantastic, it could have been written by Blackmore, it’s that good. Secondary Motion is another great way to say goodbye to the fans, a scream-worthy closer.
There's no denying it: Schenker and company are riding the wave, and this album is a milestone. It's a shame this album is practically unfindable on CD, because every true hard rocker should own it!

I recommend it to everyone.
