THE REVIEW

Well, I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to write. I’m coming back to this site after many rather uneventful years.

Now I don’t really know what to say but I was listening to this album and just wanted to say that it’s beautiful, it’s good.

Years ago, another user who really knew about music wrote a review, also of Michael Hurley & someone else I can’t remember now—it was a really strange, offbeat country folk album, that one was beautiful too, there were like some Holy Modal Rounders tracks in there.

That one was from the late ‘70s, while this one is from ‘70.

They always have beautiful covers that look like they were drawn by an elementary school kid, but one who knows how to draw.

This one has a wolf on an armchair with stars outside the window and curtains that look like giraffes.

And I put it on and it makes me feel calm, like that wolf on the cover.

Oddio come si fa la e accentata maiuscola, metto la virgola,

it’s an acoustic folk that’s a little bit country because every now and then the harmonica blows in.

Right now I’m listening to Sweedeedee on loop because he talks a bit and sings a bit, about a woman who cooks well.

I really like this song, it’s the one I like the most on this album.

There are also other beautiful ones, I marked 6 out of fourteen: Werewolf, Be Kind to Me, Red Ravagers Reel, Sweedeedee,

Light Green Fellow, Penguins.

So these are the important things I wanted to say, I hope someone finds them interesting, maybe you want a more in-depth review but someone once said that talking about music is like doing something else with literature, I think.

Well, I can add that I found this album because it was recommended as a good one in its genre on some website, and they have good reasons, because it’s beautiful, it’s like someone on a porch singing to the moon, sometimes howling.

And I feel at home with it because it matches my mood, that I too am waiting for my Lord.
