THE REVIEW

One of the most original and disconcerting albums of the year. It's not their debut, but for me, it's the first time I've found a CD from these two wild women. They handle guitars and loops like two virgins dealing with a... you know what I mean.

It seems there is a certain amount of improvisation in their music, but I am sure that much is actually "calculated." A calculated derailment. Everything is excessive, but by the third listen, the pieces of the puzzle begin to fit together. There would also be some lyrics, but frankly, it's difficult to focus on what such a voice sings (or screams), rather than on how it sings (or screams).

Recommended: to those who've always dreamed of a meeting between Chicks On Speed, Meira Asher, Diamanda Galas, Blechtum from Blectrum, and never thought it was possible with just two daring ladies.
Not recommended: for those who love clean and polished sounds, this is a true punk album (punk of 2005, eh... I'm putting my hands up right away before you overwhelm me with insults or passionate comments about punk and its history, otherwise we'll never finish, okay? Stay calm...)

Summary by Bot

Metalux's 'Victims Of Space' stands out as one of the most original and disconcerting punk albums of the year. The two-woman duo expertly blends seemingly improvised elements with calculated musical chaos. The raw, excessive sound and distinctive vocal style challenge traditional punk norms. Recommended for fans of edgy, daring experimental music but not for those who prefer polished productions.
