Certainly a trio that needs little introduction. Three all-around artists who have been working closely with RareNoise for quite some time.
Keiji Haino, a famous guitarist, experimenter, and avant-garde rocker; Merzbow, known worldwide as a noise artist and innovator; and finally Balázs Pándi, who ranges from jazz to noise rock (recently seen alongside Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth).
We have already seen Merzbow and Pándi collaborate in the past (with Cuts and Cuts of Guilt, Cuts Deeper), but this time they go further, accompanied by the improvisation and experimentation of the icon Keiji Haino. The three probe the depths of the subconscious with music that Pándi himself describes as “Music of great mystery.”
From all this comes An Untroublesome Defencelessness, an album composed of two suites: “Why is the courtesy of the prey always confused with the courtesy of the hunter” divided into three parts and “How differ the instructions of the left from the instructions of the right” divided into four.
