"We play metal of death, play it hard and loud...we live for metal, play for bangers...die for death!...the metal returns!"

This is the essence of the five young Neapolitans with a not-so-original name (just like their musical proposal) who are releasing their first CD for Bestial Burst. A filthy concentrate of Thrash/Black metal (see the vocals) that draws heavily from the grime produced in the '80s by cursed bands like Venom, Destruction, Hellhammer, Sodom, Bathory... if you are a fan of those raw and unhealthy sounds, you absolutely must get this record, it will not disappoint you!

All the ingredients are there:

Raw and ignorant instrumental technique, lyrics focused on horror/satanic themes (see songs like "Zombi Terror", "Maniac", "By Demons Tormented", to name a few), a disgustingly unhealthy attitude, a hand-drawn cover in line with the best thrash tradition, a product that seems to come directly from the distant '80s...

The tracklist is quite varied and contains pieces recorded in two sessions:

The first four date back to 2004, starting with "Megiddo", a dark track, an infernal mid-tempo ride that resembles a bit of Celtic Frost (another great influence of the group), then comes "Zombi terror" introduced by horror movie samples with zombies on the attack, the track progresses with mid-tempo, with the pulsating bass in prominence, speeding up gradually towards the end (note the horrific scream by the singer Manth). It proceeds with "Final Eclipse", a track in which they swap their instruments, here the bassist Hurne takes the drums and the drummer Huntor takes up the guitar, the track is short but quite aggressive, maintaining always medium/fast tempos. Then comes "Motordeath", a clear homage, guess to whom? Simple, the Motorhead, the piece indeed starts with a bass riff and continues in a crazy thrash "rolleggiante" with "motorized" guitars at the end!

Then begins the part of the pieces recorded in 2005. It starts with a sort of witchy intro with evil rolls, demonic voices and a sound that seems to be that of a harp. Continues immediately in the best thrash tradition with a punch in the stomach which is the track "Maniac" (surely inspired by Lustig's cult film of the same name) evil and violent, with the same harp from the previous track in the finale, one of the best tracks of the album. Then comes charging like a running train "Prophecy Of Destruction", a track in perfect Destruction style with some very nice riffs. We then find "By Demons Tormented" which adds nothing new to the CD and then "Iron Cross" another strong piece, with echoes to Celtic, a very powerful piece... it continues with "Return From The Grave" and "Antidisco Squad", another hammer on the forehead with its bone-crushing riffs and the choruses of the refrain. The CD closes with a part of a piece called "Again At War With Satan (introduction)" which fades out, a very clear tribute to... I won't tell you because if you've read this review so far and don't know who they were inspired by in doing this thing, you're probably either drunk or you've read the wrong review.

Season all the tracks with dull solos of the series "make noise with the high notes of the guitar" and the dish is served!

What else to say if you love the sounds of the above-mentioned bands, take hold of this CD and support our compatriots as best as you can!

HAIL MEPHISTO!
