Otto Von Schirach + a couple of semi-unknown Beta Bodega activists for the first Megadebt, hosted once again – it already happened with the excellent “El Golpe Avisa” – by Rice and Beans.
Brainy and politicized work “Misadventures In Global Domination” can boast an Otto in great shape who, taking on the roles of Docnuke.com and Otto Von Shitpiss, quickly spews out advanced hip hop beats and the trademark complex idm rhythms, this time accompanied by sporadic breakcore deviations that will foreshadow the inspired gabba/gangsta/breakcore period to come shortly thereafter.
Tense but never over-the-top atmospheres, perfectly calibrated sounds, microspasms, industrial dissonances and MPCs violated for a Von Schirach that this time leaves zero room for the self-irony that has always characterized him; edgy in its twists, depraved in form, Megadebt shows us yet another new Otto, in a flawless EP in which experimentation once again takes center stage.
