Accompanied by shady figures such as Iran Maiden or Hearts of Dickness, Otto Von Schirach and the guys from Beta Bodega return with the second chapter of Megadebt. Compared to the first one, which was essentially balancing between Hip Hop and IDM, here practically everything happens. Saying that Force Fed doesn't completely convince with the tracks assigned to him ("Hemispheric Dumpster Dive" and "Second-hand Strip Search," naive experiments between breakbeat and idm, balanced out by the pyrotechnic noise of "MDCCLXXVI") is different from the discussion for Otto, who literally dominates the release, unleashing himself among horse verses, rapped growls, concrete fields, and death metal digressions ("The Dead Golden S'oil' Of The Tofu Moon Goddess," "Unreliable Pleasures") passing through the delayed drum n bass of "Walk The Glock" and moments of pure glitch masturbation such as "40 Million Mexicans Would Die Laughing" and the porno-techno-dsp delirium of "Lush Cock Forced Suck, Geiorgie," where it is easy to trace the type of samples used, probably one of the most incredible tracks the genius from Miami has ever conceived. Phako instead offers us a sick dub with industrial hues in "Winter Madness," while the post-rock is brushed with the mediocre "Atras," produced by La Muerte Blanca.
A perhaps confusing but nonetheless valid lineup, with OVS-marked tracks being the indispensable pieces, thus making the limited version "Misadventures In Global Desecration 2" perhaps more appealing, which we will not treat separately because it is practically identical to the one reviewed here, except that it contains only what is effectively the best of this release, at least for me, thus "MDCCLXXVI" (Force Fed), "Winter Madness" (Phako), Otto's pieces, and an unreleased track by the latter in the company of Iran Maiden, "Valapella Of The Rain Child," a monumental abstract/surrealist electronic experiment that is very Nurse With Wound. It's a shame that this project won't continue.
