I finally read the book by my friend and fellow writer Mauro Sighicelli, entitled Stella Rossa. The cover evokes distant memories of the Cold War, but it's not a political book; rather, it's a thriller... of the light-hearted kind.
Let me start by saying that the adventures of Inspector Bertini travel between the hilarious and the impossible. In a way, my friend is a new Frédéric Dard, but much more down-to-earth. In short, as they say, our very own Sanantonio is Inspector Bertini, who presents himself to his readers with short, intense adventures, fast-paced and irreverent, vulgar without being so, and shameless yet maintaining a certain class.
In this adventure, the inspector finally finds love, a love surrounded by murky deceptions... but given the "brevity" of the story, just 40 pages written in larger than average font, it is difficult to write a plot without risking spoilers. One thing is certain, there's a bit of sex, a bit of thriller, a bit of deception, a bit of a shadow of doubt... in all this, the controversial Bertini, aided by the irreplaceable agent Peppino, must navigate to solve the enigma and... will he succeed?
The book is unfortunately sold out, but never say never... who knows if the author will want to circulate a PDF or, as it seems, a reading with audio paraphrasing in the style of Maciste against the suitors, a historical-fantasy-comedy-thriller... Anyone interested should contact me.
