Reality exists, and its existence is unamendable because it was amendable until a few years ago, when the gnoseological identity between ontology and gnoseology became an ontological difference between ontology and gnoseology.

This is because «what the postmoderns dreamed of was realized by the populists», thus an awareness of the unamendability of reality would constitute, according to the Manifesto of New Realism, an abolition of the postmodern koinè (irony, desublimation, deobjectification), an abolition that becomes necessary when its closest consequence is delegitimization and which finds its intrinsic contingency precisely in this determinism, because, although the new realism can play a preparatory role (and it seems that this is precisely its raison d’être), it arises from a more or less legitimate misunderstanding rooted in the more or less legitimate choice of having historicized and teleologicized postmodernism so that «deobjectification, formulated with emancipatory intent, transforms into a delegitimization of human knowledge and a reference to a transcendent foundation» which, though possible, was never realized by the postmodern generation: realytism, which sees in juxtaposition, dramatization, and dreamification its own cornerstones and thus is classifiable as a variant of solipsism, is not, precisely as a variant of solipsism, a legitimate offspring of postmodernism (after all, it is intellectually dishonest to blame a generation of thinkers from Nietzsche to Deleuze for the cathodic existence of Barbara d’Urso), being - in postmodern and even more empiricist terms - knowledge primarily tied to my seeing the world, that is, to the knowledge I have of myself and of it (I am the one for whom the world is the image I have of it) at the moment I see and it is precisely this gnoseological realism, though "relativist," that ensures empiricism (from Hume onward) does not degrade into solipsism and that postmodernism is not in its essence an "anti-magical realism," which thus configures itself as a perversion of postmodernism, a perversion that does not legitimize new realism anyway, as it is, precisely, a perversion.
