LA RECENSIONE

Surely highly prepared (just look at his resume, with a musical path studying the accordion with maestro Romeo Brandani, then a course in Cello in addition to complementary Piano, and also working with internationally renowned maestros such as André Navarra and Goffredo Petrassi), as well as eclectic (he collaborated with various authors including Ernesto Mancuso, Raffaele De Vito, and Stefano Gazzi, spanning various musical genres including: folk music, Pantesque songs, blues, swing, light music), Massimo Jacobacci is also certainly prolific. Just a few months after Jazz Novilunion (a CD signed “Clorinda” as a musical composer and arranger), he returns to the instrumental formula with this EP featuring decidedly gentle tones (like the lotus flowers and the beautiful cover that accompanies the new work), balancing between modern classical music (dictated by piano melodies that serve as a solid foundation for the pieces), jazz, and many South American and Spanish influences. Four tracks that with each listen reveal new and delicate details. To be listened to calmly and with an open mind.
