THE REVIEW

I'll start by saying that "Sulla Mia Strada" is definitely a beautiful album for those who love the usual Italian music, the usual love songs, the usual romantic phrases to write in a diary, perhaps on a rainy day; the record is well played and is worth listening to but... yes, there is a but... but the only thing that doesn't change is Massimo Di Cataldo because Massimo

Di Cataldo is always the same Massimo Di Cataldo! Beautiful voice for the genre but zero interpretation! Beautiful voice for the genre but it's always the same lyrics for the past 10 years! You can't compare this album to one from ten years ago because nothing has moved, the Massimo of "Se Adesso Te Ne Vai" or "Con Il Cuore" (songs, for better or worse, historical '90s pieces) is the same as who sings today "Scusa Se Ti Chiamo Amore" or "Mai Più Distanti"... always the same love songs! He doesn't talk about war! He doesn't talk about social issues! He doesn't talk about nonsense! He doesn't talk about psychedelia! He doesn't talk about having fun! He only talks about love, heart, sun, etc... at times not even Amorello, ehm Antonello Venditti, comes close to these limits! Massimo, the voice is there, you know how to play, we understand that you're romantic but give yourself a refresh! Come on!!!

Anyway, this is the tracklist
1) Scusa Se Ti Chiamo Amore
2) Ogni Giorno Sarà
3) Caterina
4) Amami
5) Il Nostro Caro Angelo (cover of Battisti)
6) Mai Più Distanti
7) Fragile
8) La Via
9) Meravigliosamente
10) Un'altra Notte
11) Vero Non Vero
12) Strade Del Nord
... anyone who wants to understand, let them understand...

Summary by Bot

Massimo Di Cataldo’s album 'Sulla Mia Strada' offers well-played, classic Italian love songs that fans will appreciate. However, the reviewer criticizes the lack of vocal interpretation and originality, noting that the artist sticks to the same romantic themes he has for the past decade. While the album is pleasing to listen to, it feels stagnant and uninspired compared to his earlier work.
