From the less-than-cheerful Biella comes Marvin-H, an alternative rock band active since 2013, now releasing their debut EP "Hica." This mini-album marks the rise of our guys, who, amidst various competitions and supporting acts for well-known artists like Caparezza and Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, arrive well-prepared for such an important step. Let's face it, compared to what we usually hear in most underground band debuts, we can say that here we are in front of valid songs, both in terms of pure artistry and how they have been packaged. Their alternative rock is impactful, with a strong radio-friendly nature (so we're talking about something deliberately catchy) but has the great merit of not being out of place or exhausting, quite the opposite. The tracks are highly enjoyable (see "Candescence" and "Casting Shadows") with the right amount of vocal charm and a sound that is unafraid to occasionally venture into crossover to give even more power and zest to the core structure. As mentioned earlier, what stands out about Marvin-H is especially their ability to tailor the product precisely, thanks to meticulous attention to detail and a flawless production. The only sore point in all of this is definitely the artwork, the only aspect that has been completely overlooked by our guys. However, the visual side matters little; in music, it always comes second, and "Hica" certainly has many other qualities to showcase to the public.
