Mark Millar is a Scottish comic book writer; John Romita Jr. is an American comic book artist. They collaborated on Kick-Ass. Kick-Ass was published by Icon Comics and inspired a film and a sequel.

Kick-Ass follows an ordinary teen who decides to become a superhero despite having no powers. The story pairs gritty, explicitly depicted violence with bright, comic-style colors and introduces vigilantes Hit-Girl and Big Daddy.
