"Bittersüß" ("Bittersweet") is the second album by the German singer-songwriter and actor Marius Müller Westernhagen, dating back to 1976. The following is the list of songs:
1- 36
2- Paula (Du hast mich nie gekannt)
3- Franz Strumpf (Paula ist fort)
4- Ich geh meistens bei Rot (Kinderlied)
5- Armer Star
6- Einer wie er
7- Endspurt
8- Ich hab Dich so schrecklich lieb
9- Rudi Carell
I state without a shadow of a doubt that these nine songs are all, except for one, masterpieces both from the perspective of the melody of the singing (an aspect I consider crucial) and from that of expressiveness and instrumentation and, naturally, of the composition as a whole. All the lyrics are by Muller-Westernhagen, while almost all the music is by or in collaboration with Peter Hesslein, about whom I know nothing. The music of "Endspurt", in my opinion, beautiful, is by Muller-Westernhagen. The musicians who played are (copy-pasting from the site):
MUSIKER
Dieter Horns: Bass
Peter Hesslein: Guitars, Percussion
Peter Hecht: Flügel, Organ, Fender Rhodes Piano, Synthesizer, Celesta, Solina
Karl Hermann Lüer: Flute, Saxophone, Tenor

As for the lyrics, not knowing German, I cannot affirm anything but, thanks to a certain sensitivity I have acquired over the years, I feel I can affirm their validity (and don't ask me how I know because it's just a feeling, although perhaps I could give two technical reasons).
