THE REVIEW

What a shame! What a real shame to have lost such a great voice and compositional talent. It's a pity she was so little known and appreciated. Curse that "Casa bianca" that imprisoned her for her entire life. I wonder who in Italy today manages to make ethnic music with such great passion and breadth? Sardinia definitely stands out as a hotbed of artists who don't care about trends... Tenores de Britti, Elena Ledda, the late Andrea Parodi... reeds in the wind never broken by the evil breath of the mainstream. This album, even in its title, carries the scents of mother earth and despite the lyrics, difficult here in the valley (Bergamo), it manages to communicate that sense of universal brotherhood and love for a land that is primarily sea, mud, rain, fruits, clouds... Listening to "Bellita bellita" and stopping to not think or think intensely, it makes no difference; the important thing is to stop. To understand where you really are and where the energy that moves everything resides... Thank you, Marisa, we will miss you.
