After listening to all the tracks of "Magneti," it naturally makes one wonder why he participated in Sanremo (nowadays ridiculous) with a little gem like "Un altro posto nel mondo" which was naturally eliminated by the discerning Sanremo juries.

"E' stato un attimo" excellently opens the album of the Catanese singer-songwriter. It is followed by "Anni selvaggi" with flutes and strings that echo fairy-tale atmospheres paying homage to his home region, Sicily. Sicilian land also honored in "Sulu" sung in dialect. Another gem is "Qualcosa brucia ancora." The pleasant winds of "Santa Maria La Guardia" follow along with the excellent and nostalgic "il mondo in bianco in nero".

The title track "Magneti" talks about the metaphor between the physics of magnets and the attraction of the spirit. A desire for serenity and peace in "Addio alle armi". Noteworthy are the melodies of "Ultramarino" and "Malintesi". This beautiful album closes with "Open space," which, reading between the lines, is a sort of promise of constant sonic evolution.

In short, Magneti is a pleasant, delicate, and immensely classy pop album, and Mario Venuti's voice is significantly improved compared to previous works, which is a positive note along with the splendid melodies and lyrics. An album that is worth listening to.

It’s nice when just a few notes and thoughtful words are enough to make you feel like you’re in a different place.

Mario Venuti is one of the few artists who don’t just copy themselves and maintain naturalness and spontaneity in their music.
