THE REVIEW

I barely know Mario Venuti. Really, very little. When "Fortuna" (1995) came out, I was a kid, but I appreciated the courage, originality, and purity with which this young man narrated distant stories. The other afternoon, late afternoon, weighed down by dumbbells and tendons that seemed to give out with each lift, some radio (the only station that comes in my garage: I can't remember the name) plays this new song of his, Mario Venuti's voice reaches me immediately, it's unmistakable. From Denovo onwards, basically, when you hear it, you know it's him.

"Caduto dalle stelle" flows quickly, so fast, and I think: damn, but it's beautiful. Awesome! It's been so long. I'm not a fan, rather, when this guy used to sing "Veramente", it got on my nerves, what a stupid song was that?

The sound reminds me of the Pet Shop Boys from "Electric" (2013), a fluid pop-dance, but that's not it. It's that I'm hooked: I can't stop listening to it.

So, I admit it, this review on Wikipedia would be full of underlines, asterisks, footnotes: because it's not objective.

"Caduto dalle stelle" is awesome, it’s my idea of new generation Italian music, it makes me love an artist I've always snubbed.

The promo video is spot-on, the production is spot-on, the idea is spot-on. Bravo Mariolino!

Dance, dance, dance-on.
