The Neapolitan Comedy, an Italian farce.

"Lo zappatore" is this, the sceneggiata that certainly does not represent our beautiful country, capable of producing better films and situations than this. Totò and Eduardo de Filippo framed something unique and above all represented Naples with dignity, one with theatrical comedy and the other with the irony and fantasy of Campania's mimicry, the carefree hand, the swinging of the upper and lower limbs, and not to forget the southern cheerfulness and dignified composure (those who've seen Totò's films know this).

Lo zappatore, on the other hand, is more a series of events without a plot or common thread, a jumble of feelings ground up and never forgotten like honor (as if I give a damn), love (you must respect the father's decisions), escape (finally I left this shitty place), and finally paternalism (we're in a modern society, not the 1800s).

In short, a film to forget quickly.
