THE REVIEW

I could write many lines about this band, but I'll just say that I didn't have much fondness for them until this masterpiece fell upon my ears. This "World Funeral" is an excellent demonstration of how this band has managed to grow.

The CD consists of 11 songs that will certainly leave plenty of emotions in your head. It ranges from direct and absolutely horrific songs like the opener "With Satan And Victorious Weapon" and "World Funeral" to other slow and intense ones, typical of the black style, like "Bleached Bones" or "To The Death's Head True". The production has now reached the limit of perfection.

A note should also be spared for the lovely cover! This will make you understand many things about the CD! In the most personal opinion of yours truly, we are looking at one of the best CDs by MARDUK. With the addition of the excellent Emil Dructinovic, the band is in optimal form (let's say that the previous drummer certainly wasn’t lacking in power, but was a bit static). Along with "Butchered at Birth", this "World Funeral" could be the soundtrack for my funeral.
