Here we go, he's back. And not in a normal way, as everyone would expect. No.

The spotlight has finally hit Marco, who returns to the Italian music scene with a very beautiful and emotional album, an album with many meanings, from troubled love to simple and sincere love, from the discomfort of living in a civilization that is too varied like the modern one, from that classic need for freedom and friendship that characterized Marco Masini's songs from 1989 to 2006.

The album begins with a splendid song "All I Have of You" which talks about a tormented love that is relived in habits and in the simplest actions "Your traces on the snow, which now I follow like a dog, to find at least one flower on the mouths of glaciers, your love letters, which speak to me of a world that is not there". The music is simple but suited to the content.
The songs "Free", "Brava" and "Crumbs" are very different from each other but share beauty and artistic depth. In fact, the first one talks about the freedom of lovers, the second about the harsh world of show business, often too selective based on one's body, especially for women. In any case, the lyrics are very detailed and effective, as are the arrangements and rhythm. "Crumbs", finally, once again talks about love, a love once again tormented, but due to monotony and the "rush to love each other".

"Damned Friend of Mine" is a very cheerful song, even though it tells of unrequited love, but sincere. "The Bees' Garden" talks again about freedom in relation to that of bees, but also of love "I will cover your splendid body with honey, breathing you more and more". Very beautiful in its nostalgic atmosphere is "The Eyes of the Arno", an important track of the album that talks about the singer's childhood with extreme sweetness and, as mentioned, nostalgia.
"In the World of Dreams" famous song because it participated in the San Remo festival, is also very beautiful but of a slightly lower level compared to others like "My Prayer" yet another outburst of the singer-songwriter towards religion; the former is nonetheless enhanced in the unplugged version with Jessica Morlacchi, which gives the music an aura of sweetness and solemnity.

I recommend anyone who loves music (Italian and not) to buy this very beautiful album but underappreciated by the press and record companies especially due to prejudice and slander. Bye
