It's Dangerous to Lean Out is the third album by Mango and was released in 1982. Contrary to the still very raw vocals, the contents are very interesting. The lyrics are by his brother Armando Mango.

The album begins with Nero e Blu. The protagonist is the figure of the scarecrow who observes and endures everything that happens around him. Only by taking control of his life is there perhaps some chance to change events. Certainly not like in Il Figlio where arrogance and ingratitude risk leading us down the wrong paths.

Nero e blu will be part of many concerts and will be included in the first live album Dove vai. Surprisingly, we will find this old recording in the single La rondine. Sciapi will do a cover of it.

It's Dangerous to Lean Out addresses the theme of loneliness and suicide. The execution with piano and voice in the first part of the piece is very delicate. "It's dangerous to lean out from the highest bridge higher than man when you feel life as light as a sheet of tissue paper, just a breath of wind would be enough to carry it far away, far away."

Il Mago is a very ironic and musically fun song even if the theme is not insignificant. At the time, especially in small southern towns, the presence of those fortune-telling magicians was constant.

Loneliness and disorientation dominate songs like Punto e a capo and Fuori gioco where the problem of drugs also appears. "I will smoke what little I have and for an hour I will remain out of play."

In this album, there is also room for two very painful love songs: Che cosa mi hai lasciato and Chi sei mai tu, chi sono io.

The album closes with Lascia che tu sia, where the concept of the opening track is revisited. Only by believing in ourselves can we project into the future and grow without aging.

Of the Mango sociologist, apart from the first two albums, we can still find something in the next album Australia and only a few other rare occurrences. With Oro and especially with Lei verrà his style will take a decidedly pop direction.
