It is the other face of Salento's music scene, one that looks to the Caribbean to blend the warm rhythms of Jamaica and the northern American soul of Rocksteady with the sounds more linked to our Apulian tradition. And it has found in Mama Ska one of the greatest exponents of this Latin-Salentine soul. The group, which celebrated twenty years of activity last year, returns today with a new appearance and an album of unpublished tracks. "Viva la Vida, Viva l'amor!," whose first track "Cielo di Puglia" is already a hit online, released by the band on all digital platforms on January 31st. An album, rich in influences and significant features that mark the beginning of intriguing collaborations with the most famous artists from Salento. Terron Fabio from Sud Sound System, Andrea Pasca from Crifiu, and Tonio Corba from Alegria Gitana lend their voices to the most engaging tracks that will make all of Salento and the rest of the peninsula dance in the coming months. Another interesting novelty is represented by the animated video clips that capture the essence of each track and showcase an extreme attention to detail as well as a boundless passion for music. The band recently celebrated its 20 years of activity with a highly impactful concert/party in their hometown of Cannole, in the province of Lecce. Many special guests joined, where the group, for the occasion, chose not to have a stage but to share their music directly among the audience.

In the video, inspired by Banksy's Street Art and created by Pasquale Lazzari for 'Zary Movie,' the images of the murals, the colors of the sea, the dawn of a new day, and the sky illuminated by the sun and then covered by clouds. The skyline of Apulian towns and fields, then the trulli, and the roads to be cycled. These are the dreams and hopes of everyone, painted by the rainbow that finally appears in the beautiful "Cielo di Puglia".
