The Profile

Enrico Ragni, known as Malleus, is an Italian electronic musician who used the Fairlight synthesizer and produced Paranorm Op. I, a suite inspired by a 1978 paranormal episode at the Rocca degli Ottoni. The record was released in 1988 on the MGM label.

Paranorm Op. I was released in 1988 on the MGM label; Malleus (Enrico Ragni) used the Fairlight synthesizer; the album suite was inspired by a 1978 visionary trance at the Rocca degli Ottoni endorsed by Massimo Inardi; tracks for the record were worked on since 1982.

One DeBaser review (Breus) critiques Malleus's Paranorm Op. I for technical precision but limited emotional depth. The record, built on Fairlight production, is described as Vangelis-like and soundtrack-ish. The reviewer notes a 1978 paranormal experience at Rocca degli Ottoni as the album's inspiration and criticizes non-paranormal B-side tracks.
