THE REVIEW

"Well done!"

Not because they are Italian or from Turin (which coincides with my location, even if in my being stateless that doesn't matter), but because the Mainline sincerely deserve to be supported, for their demonstrated musical value and sound writing ability.

The band operates in the realm of thrash metal, with some "old style" metal-core reminiscences (almost with heavy/funky nuances and thus absolutely not to be confused with the crowd of neo-adherents or trendy followers of the latest generations) and they show a clear inclination to give a progressive interpretation of the subject, without that leading them to be classified in prog (understood as a genre affiliation).

Thirteen articulated, powerful tracks, offspring of listening experiences that have the most technical performers as their reference points (I think of Cynic and Atheist, even though here the timbre is not the same and compared to the former they are less evidently jazz-oriented), full of groove, very well structured and equally well interpreted/performed, both in the instrumental and vocal parts.

Debut album to be approved.
