DJ Krush (Hideaki Ishi) is a Tokyo-born DJ and producer known for pioneering abstract, instrumental hip hop that blends minimal beats with jazz and ambient hues. Active since the mid-1980s, he released key albums on Mo’ Wax and Sony and collaborated with artists such as CL Smooth, members of The Roots, Guru, DJ Shadow, and Toshinori Kondo.
