The Pink Fairies

Never Never Land embryo

Pink Fairies made a certain type of powerful and primitive rock mainstream in their homeland, which at the time was teeming with progressive sophistication.

Never Never Land is a good music album, but not as exceptional and innovative as some critics want to make believe.

You and Never Never Land

Pink Fairies

Pink Fairies are a British underground rock band formed in 1969 by Paul Rudolph, Duncan Sanderson, and Russell Hunter (ex‑Deviants) with drummer Twink (ex‑Pretty Things). Blending psychedelic grit and hard‑rock bite, they became cult heroes of London’s Ladbroke Grove scene, famed for free gigs and high‑energy shows. Their classic early‑70s run (Never Never Land, What a Bunch of Sweeties, Kings of Oblivion) bridged psychedelia and proto‑punk; later line‑ups featured Larry Wallis, and the band returned in 1987 with Kill 'Em & Eat 'Em.
