Formed in Toronto in 1985 by the Timmins siblings (Margo, Michael, Peter) with Alan Anton, Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian group known for atmospheric alternative-country and slowcore. Their breakthrough was The Trinity Sessions (recorded live in a church) and Margo Timmins' vocals are a defining element.
