Johnny Winter

John Dawson "Johnny" Winter III (born 1944 in Beaumont, Texas; died 2014 in Switzerland) was an American blues and blues-rock guitarist and singer known for his slide technique, high-energy live performances and work with Muddy Waters. He recorded influential albums from the late 1960s onward and frequently performed with his brother Edgar Winter.
