The For Carnation is an American post-rock/slowcore group formed by Brian McMahan after Slint. Through two EPs (Fight Songs, Marshmallows), the compilation Promised Works, and the self-titled album on Touch and Go, the project pursued hushed minimalism, hypnotic grooves and late-night atmospheres.
