Ramones

Formed in New York in 1974, the Ramones are one of the foundational punk rock groups. Core members included Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone and Tommy Ramone; later lineups featured Marky Ramone and C.J. Ramone. They toured and recorded from 1974 until their final concert in 1996 and are celebrated for short, fast songs, a distinctive aesthetic and huge influence on punk and rock.
