GARYBALDI - Moretto da Brescia-Goffredo From an instrumental standpoint, this album is a masterpiece, on par with the great Italian works. Bambi's voice, well, conveys the "Genovese school," very close to the Trolls, as are the Nuova Idea. The strength lies in the exquisite interplay of the instruments.
The Durutti Column - Otis So many people rushed to this track after hearing it from Jamie XX in one of his epic jams. I stumbled upon it after asking myself, "Surely after 'LC' there's nothing else beautiful?"
And here I am with the album "Vini Reilly" from 1989. Just listen to that freshness of sound. What originality. The voice that anticipates chillout/house/indie by twenty years and all that (call it what you want, really). Well, today I'm very happy. One more magical track in my listening.
Harmonia - Deluxe - Walky Talky An album that does not make you regret the glorious "Watussi," a "Veteran" of the debut. The peak of "Deluxe" (along with the title track).
Lowlife Eternity Road Comsat Angels, Chameleons, Sad Lovers & Giants...and last but not least, Lowlife! "Diminuendo" and "Permanent Sleep" are equivalent to the beauty of "Script Of The Bridge," "Sleep No More," and "Feeding The Flame." Singer Craig Lorentson left us in 2010 at the age of 44 due to alcoholism. Fortunately, Art remains eternal.
Dif Juz - Re The beginning of post-punk. Crystal-clear guitar, ethereal atmospheres, and drums that pound into the void. Fantastic! "Extractions" is one of the most divine episodes of music. Oops, sorry, Music!
Genesis - Los Endos
And to wrap up the Genesis day, here’s LOS ENDOS.
Genesis - Afterglow
Today only Genesis.
Breathless - Here by Chance I Pop dream in trance!
The Wake - Melancholy Man It sounds like a piece by the Durutti Column but it’s not! The Wakes from the second phase, the half dream pop of "Here Comes Everybody" (an immense track), are better than that faded copy of Cure/Joy Division in the debut "Harmony".
Cocteau Twins Pink Orange Red I'm feeling warm and I have a whirlwind in my head. It's not a fever.
Dif Juz - Re Another quirky weekend with the unruly crew. We’re at a friend’s place in the mountains of Ovindoli. A warm greeting from the essence of this moment of relaxation, watching moons and stars.
Jah Wobble,The Edge, Holger Czukay - Hold On To Your Dreams The American House gives me a headache (quote: Holger Czukay)
