Ekseption are a Dutch symphonic/prog group formed in 1967, led by keyboardist Rick van der Linden. They became known for rock adaptations of classical pieces, scoring a Dutch No. 1 with The 5th and earning an Edison Award in 1970 for Beggar Julia’s Time Trip.
