Roberto Saviano

I met him a year and a half ago in a restaurant downtown. He was already under protection: I had gone to shake his hand when two goons had already blocked me… what timing! Roberto Saviano (born 1979, Naples) is an Italian writer and journalist known for Gomorra (2006), which exposed the Camorra and led to his living under police protection. He later wrote ZeroZeroZero about the global cocaine trade.
