Charlie Parker

Charlie Parker (Aug 29, 1920, Kansas City – Mar 12, 1955, New York) was an American alto saxophonist and a principal architect of bebop. Nicknamed “Bird,” he transformed melody, rhythm, and harmony in modern jazz.
