Social Distortion

I loved them so much just for Mike Ness, one of my heroes from some time ago, but also because they pale in comparison to many contemporary bands (an album by X is worth half of their career). The period of the self-titled was a bit embarrassing, but they always maintained a certain dignity. Ness's solo work deserves to be revisited too, a guy who ended up doing punk purely by chance (bluesman by birth).

Social Distortion are an American punk rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 1978 and led by singer and songwriter Mike Ness. Their sound is widely associated with melodic punk shaped by rock ’n’ roll, country, and blues influences.
