If not the most beautiful Italian voice of the last fifty years, surely almost. A chest voice that ranges from bass to treble, then a head voice and whistle that reach bewildering heights. Serious interpretation and profound lyrics, with refined music and arrangements. Malcagata by the obtuse music system for years and years, in Sanremo in 2003 she appeared sick with cancer and with a performance she swept away dozens of young voices and not-so-young ones. Her death only makes her songs even more touching.
