Molly Hatchet

The covers of this band are among the most misleading you can imagine: I can only imagine the number of Manowar fans who soaked up the sun with their records, relying on the fantasy-medieval warriors printed on them during the pre-internet era. Great southern rock band, carried forward by a herd of session musicians who have neither witnessed its beginnings nor played on the early and best albums: unfortunately, that's just how it is now, buying a name like it’s a brand, ignoring its history.

Molly Hatchet

Molly Hatchet is an American Southern rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1971. Known for a triple‑guitar attack, they broke through with the self‑titled 1978 debut and 1979’s Flirtin’ With Disaster, followed by Beatin’ the Odds and No Guts... No Glory. Their albums often feature fantasy artwork by Frank Frazetta.
