Arthur Russell

Arthur Russell (1951–1992) was an American cellist, composer, and singer from the NYC downtown scene who bridged avant-garde minimalism and leftfield disco with intimate, echo-rich songs. His legacy grew posthumously through archival releases expanding far beyond World of Echo.
