So, we need to start from an assumption: the decline in inspiration unfortunately pertains to everyone. Up until Pisces (inclusive), he truly deserves to be on the podium among the top 3 Italian singer-songwriters. Then the following year, he released Buona domenica, a decent album but nothing compared to his previous work, and fortunately, he bounced back with two excellent albums (Sotto la pioggia and Cuore). Between 1986 and 1988, two great albums were released, but unfortunately, in the '90s, he lost his way and became terrible (saving only a couple of tracks from Benvenuti in paradiso). This decline has lasted until today, continually worsening, but it's worth mentioning that he has truly left us so much; his songs from the '70s and for a good part of the '80s will remain forever in the history of Italian music. In conclusion: it’s true that he may not fully deserve 5 full stars, but I’ll give him that to raise the average a bit (2.29 for Antonello is simply unacceptable...).
