Ferzan Ozpetek

Although I feel sorry because I know it takes talent and passion, I’ve always seen him as someone who copies Almodovar in a kitschy and excessively pretentious way for my tastes. All in all, he's managed to bring home a few pleasant films.

Ferzan Ozpetek

Ferzan Ozpetek is a Turkish-Italian film director and screenwriter known for intimate, ensemble-driven dramas that often explore LGBTQ+ relationships, friendship and memory. Active since his debut Hamam (1997), his acclaimed filmography includes Le fate ignoranti (2001), La finestra di fronte (2003), Saturno contro (2007) and later works set in Rome and Naples.
