"Fisherman," "With a Stiff Upper Lip," and "Yet It Blows" remain examples of a handcrafted songwriting style, simple and effective, the work of a sincere and genuine man (whom I had the pleasure of meeting when I didn't even know he was a singer-songwriter) but never counted among the greatest artists of the peninsula.
