With Rea and Gatto, he has reached the peak of "jazz" music production, if that's what you can call it, in Italy. For the rest, he remains a good singer-songwriter, but he seems to be the male version of Vanoni: at 85 years old, still on TV!!

Gino Paoli

Gino Paoli is an Italian singer-songwriter associated with the Genoese/Ligurian school of cantautori. Emerging in the early 1960s (label: Ricordi), he became known for poetic, introspective writing and enduring classics such as “Il cielo in una stanza,” “Sapore di sale,” and “Senza fine.” His career is described in the reviews as having a notable renaissance in the mid-1980s and renewed mass success in the early 1990s.
