For two decades, they did nothing but chase the trends of the moment. First hard rock and glam rock, with some shades of progressive rock, then the horrendous shift towards disco music and its ilk, culminating in Innuendo, perhaps one of their most honest and most successful works. At the very least, they are quite recognizable and can boast a handful of beautiful songs.

British rock band formed in London in 1970. Core classic lineup: Freddie Mercury (lead vocals), Brian May (guitar), Roger Taylor (drums) and John Deacon (bass). Known for genre-crossing albums and stadium anthems such as "Bohemian Rhapsody", and for legendary live performances (notably Live Aid 1985). Freddie Mercury died in 1991.
