Deep Purple

Made in Japan, live from 1973, has more energy and drive than entire discographies of numerous bands. If we add Machine Head, from 1972, and In Rock, from 1970, I think giving them top marks is even an understatement. What a history, damn!

Deep Purple

English rock band formed in 1968, pioneers of hard rock. Best-known for classic lineups (notably Mark II) and landmark releases such as Machine Head and the live double Made in Japan.
