Eccentric and charming, for me they are definitely better than XTC, maybe because Bid as a singer outshines Partridge and Moulding.

English new wave/post-punk band formed in London in 1978 by Bid, noted for a literate, eccentric take on 60s pop, psychedelia and cabaret-inflected songwriting.
