Genesis

The Genesis are essential and have had a host of good and not-so-good imitators. "Selling England by the pound" remains my favorite: a solid 10. However, the entire early era with the standard-GOLD lineup received my utmost attention, and even during the remaining years of the '70s with Collins on vocals, the band certainly didn’t disappoint; in fact, in some songs I personally prefer Collins' voice. Throughout this entire period, though, I give a perfect score. ...However, the average with the rest of the years that followed does get a bit lowered. ;)
