The Doors

A self-titled debut among the most representative of psychedelic rock in the second half of the '60s, a fantastic subsequent album ("Strange Days"), a handful of good albums, and the excellent "Morrison Hotel," before closing out brilliantly with "L.A. Woman," where "Riders On The Storm" seems to foreshadow, like a prophecy, the death of Jim Morrison. A unique band in their genre, though for me, the greatest will always be Ray Manzarek.

American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. Core members: Jim Morrison (vocals), Ray Manzarek (keyboards), Robby Krieger (guitar), John Densmore (drums). Known for a distinctive organ-led sound, theatrical live shows and landmark albums (The Doors, Strange Days, L.A. Woman).
