Mango

Mango has always had a beautiful voice and wrote incredible pieces, just think of "Mediterraneo" which, even though it’s a pop single, maintains an incredibly high standard in terms of music, lyrics, and vocals. Among his albums, I appreciate "Sirtaki" (in my city, another great single). He was often mocked after that silly video with the swallow that we all remember, when in reality, especially until the mid-90s, he produced excellent work. Another plus is that live he was sometimes impeccable.

Mango (Giuseppe “Pino” Mango; 1954–2014) was an Italian singer‑songwriter from Basilicata known for a distinctive semi‑falsetto and a Mediterranean pop blend with electronic textures. He scored major hits with Oro, Lei verrà and Bella d’estate, and reached a commercial peak with Sirtaki (1990).
